I'm back!

Hey Readers!!!

I am so sorry I haven't blogged in the last little bit! I have been overwhelmed with work and been a little selfish!

I am back and rolling..... I have tons of stuff to write about. My hauls and some interesting facts I have found. You know how weird I get with those.

To all my Geisha contestants i apologize for the delay in your prizes! I PROMISE its on its way!

Matchstick hooked me up again ...

I had the chance to try the L’OrĂ©al Paris European version Double Extension Beauty Tubes Mascara. I was extremely excited to try this product out as I am a HUGE L’Oreal Mascara (High Five to Voluminous).

As many of you know, this was launched out in Europe before it even hit the market in North America ( extremely popular in Europe) You can google it and will find many demands of this mascara to have in North America. (which launches here I believe December 2009)

The mascara comes in a double-sided, 6 ml each. On 1 side it's the Mascara and the other side is a white primer/builder/thickener. Basically you apply the white coat first and allow it to dry then apply the mascara on top of it. These are very common steps for people who are familiar with double ended mascaras. It’s very bulky, in terms of size – it’s quite bigger than your average mascara..

Pros:
Thickens, lengthens – dramatically!
Noticeably different and very eye-catching

Cons:
The fact that the mascara is not a waterproof formula (the version I have at least ) it didn’t hold my “curled” eyelashes like the other L’Oreal “Waterproof” mascaras so I had to re-curl them again after the application.

It was kind of hard to remove even for a non waterproof product. I ended up having to use a different eye-makeup remover to get this off. I think the mascara was gone with just regular make-up/eye remover and the white thickener/primer was leaving the residue behind (which was very unattractive looking.)If you apply more than you need it tends to get clumpy.

Rating:
Overall: 7.5/10
Price: 7.5/10 - $14.99 CDN – which is a little more expensive than I would assume for a L’Oreal mascara but considerably very affordable overall
Packaging: 8/10
Claims: 8.5/10

I can see the huge difference! Thanks so much for the review May! Have you used MUFE Mat Velvet+ by the way?

Natalie: Yes I have and the MUFE is very good!

Thanks for that May! I am using MUFE HD at the moment and when I exercise, it streaks a bit! So last week, I tried Face & Body and I got shiny very quickly. Thought MUFE Mat Velvet+ might be better? It also gives a better coverage than the other two foundations? Or using HD with All Matt? Thanks in advance!
